Navigating the Forums

The forums are split into several different areas. "News", "General Discussion" & "Memory Bank".

Each area contains a number of topics under discussion. To view a topic simply click on the title. Topics are ordered in oldest => newest so to see the latest message you will have to navigate to the last page.

Posting a Message

Posting a message is rather similar to writing an e-mail except the interface is slightly different and it doesn't just go to one person but is visible to anyone who looks at the thread.

How to post a message/reply

  1. If you are not already logged into the forum, log in now by filling out the login form below the main menu or if you aren't registered click "register" and fill out the registration form.
  2. When viewing a topic/thread click "New Topic"
  3. Type your message in the large box that appears. You can use the interface above the large box just as you would in Word or an e-mail to format the message with underlines, italics, bold text etc... You can also add "smilies" to your message - these help to portray your emotions when writing a message. It also helps prevent a joke being missunderstood as serious etc...
  4. Preview your message by pressing the "Preview Post" button. This will display your message as it will be shown to other users. You can change your message in the large box below the preview panel. To update the preview just press "Preview Post" again.
  5. Press "Submit Reply" when you are happy with your message.
The posting interface is quite like Microsoft Word.

  3. Preview your message by pressing the "Preview Post" button. This will display your message as it will be shown to other users. You can change your message in the large box below the preview panel. To update the preview just press "Preview Post" again.

Using the Gallery:

Introduction

The gallery is divided into 3 albums "Children in Need 08: Commodore Reunion", "Post-2000 Photos" & "Pre-2000 Photos". As the names suggest the last two album are designed to roughly seperate the "digital age" photographs from the old film photos. Please don't feel that you have to abide strictly to what goes into those two they're only a guide.
